A Visit to the Villa Schöningen

Why not join us on a visit to the Villa Schöningen, the beautifully restored and recently re-opened mansion built by Ludwig Persius, which is beside the Glienicke Bridge? The villa houses a multi-media exhibition where we can learn something about its chequered history and interesting owners. Afterwards we can go for a short walk along the lake (time and weather permitting) and/or stop off somewhere for coffee or a snack.

►Venue: We will meet outside the house, which is on the Potsdam side of the bridge, at 10.45.

►Getting there: S-Bahn to Wannsee and then the bus 316 to Glienicker Brücke. However, the bus only runs every 40 minutes, so we will try and arrange transport for people without a car. Please let us know if you need or could give somebody a lift. From Potsdam, take the tram to Glienicker Brücke.

►Register: By Monday, 6 September

Participate in a Neighbourhood Group!
It’s a great way to get to know one another and a chance to exchange information about the Club and life in Berlin. Each group is led by one or more neighbourhood hostesses and periodically meets for coffee, cocktails or some other activity.

If you’d like to participate, find your district. If your district isn’t listed, call Barbara Matthias –she would be more than happy to assist you.

BIWC members are welcome at the activities of all neighbourhood groups.
