Art classes & commissions

Hi my name is Jo Johnston. I have been drawing and painting since I was a child. At college I learned the traditional techniques of oil painting. I later went on to train and work as an Occupational Therapist, but have always continued to paint. Whilst taking time out to have my three children I began to take on commissions and have carried on with this ever since.

Since moving to Berlin from the UK three years ago I have drawn inspiration from the tree-lined streets of Berlin as well as the surrounding forest, leading to a series of ink drawings, watercolours, and oil paintings. These are available to buy.

I also offer classes in painting and drawing on an individual or group basis. These are informal and relaxed and each class is tailored to the individual’s ability and interests. They are often studio-based but in fine weather can take place outdoors. Materials and refreshments are included in the price which start at 15 Euros per hour.
