Cooking Class

Jill DiGiovanni’s cooking classes are always a treat, you come away with new favourites & little tricks to assist the blossoming chef.  The latest class – Desserts :Make it or Fake it - was no exception!  The newsletter said "Elegant, decadent & easy", and it certainly lived up to this promise.

And hey presto, a gorgeous creation that tasted wonderful!

Icecream cake!  It took very little time & tasted out of this world!

Icecream sandwiches – simple & yummy.  The moms said they would be recreating these with their kids.

Remember to work in the love

Fruit tartlets, tasted as good as they looked!

Snowballs, beautifuly garnished, a blob of choc sauce (homemade I must add) keeps it in the center of the plate

Cleaning up – many hands make light work

Enjoying the feast at the end of the class!

No Cook Pasta Sauces class was a real treat – we came away with great recipes that many have recreated with ease already!

Basic Knife Skills – COOKING!

We learned the fundamentals of using a knife safely.  A kitchen knife, also known as a chef’s knife, is one of the most important and versatile tools in the kitchen.  As you can see everyone had perfect control of their knives, learned how to slice, dice and chop. We all cooked our creations then had a light lunch and laughter before saying goodbye til the next time.  Thinking about coming to a cooking demo?  Check the web for our next date and join us!
