Villa Schöningen:
A Cold War Museum with a Contemporary Art Gallery
Villa Schöningen was built from 1843-45 by Ludwig Persius, architect to the King of Prussia. It is located adjacent to the Glienicke Bridge, which became an internationally famous symbol of German division during the Cold War. Worldwide interest was focused on the exchange of spies along this former boundary between the American sector and the Soviet zone. It is now a private museum.
We are going to have a guided tour through the museum and the contemporary art gallery.
After the tour we could have coffee and cake at the museum’s café. Please let us know, if you also want to join us at the café.
Cost: Entrance and guided tour will be around 10 € per person.
Registration: As soon as possible, since places are limited, by e-mail to BerlinforBeginners@biwc.de or contact us by phone.
Venue: Berliner Str. 86, 14467 Potsdam
