Each time I attend one of our larger meetings, I get a tremendous sense of satisfaction that I belong to a club that is truly international. I am starting new friendships with women from all parts of the world and enjoy observing our differences, whether it is the languages we speak, the clothes we wear or the uniqueness of our cultural backgrounds. Two common links between us are that we live in Berlin and belong to the BIWC. This organisation provides the strong female support systems that are essential to all of us in order to thrive in a large, ever-changing city. I think the German members from all parts of the city are particularly important to our network because they are the ones who can help us understand, explore and enjoy the city where we all now live.
