The Irish are as good at gardening as the British. Thanks to Ireland’s mild climate, even exotic plants thrive in their green refuges – be it in the private garden, in the stately park or in the largest still-cultivated walled garden on the island.

Garden discoverer Daniela David has travelled to Ireland many times and discovered the most creative gardeners, artists, crazy mansion owners, passionate plant freaks and professional landscape designers. All of them are plant people with “green blood” flowing in their veins.

In the Botanical Museum @ Berlin’s Botanical Gardens (a most appropriate venue) we experienced a fascinating journey through the gardens of Ireland.

Many thanks to Daniela for sharing her Irish experiences with us and to BIWC’s Social Events for organising.
